NCSTAR Network Faculty Dr. Blake Fagan to Present on Adolescent SUD and Evidence‑Based Interventions

Dr. Blake Fagan is presenting at the Governor’s Institute 3rd Annual Adolescent Addiction Medicine Conference, delivering a session focused on Addiction and Evidence‑Based Interventions. His participation highlights the conference’s commitment to advancing best practices in adolescent substance use prevention, diagnosis, and treatment.

Dr. Fagan is the Clinical Director of Substance Use Disorder Initiatives and a Family Physician at the Mountain Area Health Education Center (MAHEC) in Asheville and a Professor in the Department of Family Medicine at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He trains healthcare providers and medical residency programs across the state in medication for opioid use disorders, safe pain management, and safe opioid prescribing practices.  A recognized leader in addiction medicine education, he trains healthcare providers and medical residency programs across North Carolina in medication for opioid use disorder (MOUD), safe pain management, and safe opioid prescribing practices.
