Chelsey Moore, Certified Peer Support Specialist (CPSS), will be a speaker partner with UNC Horizons at the Women’s Recovery Conference, taking place May 6–8, 2026 in Asheville, North Carolina. Chelsey will showcase the Connections app, highlighting how the tool supports patients and clients by improving access to resources, communication, and continuity of care.

Chelsey joined UNC’s Addiction Medicine Program in 2025 and serves as a CPSS with both the Inpatient Addiction Medicine Consult Service at UNC Medical Center and the ATLAS Mobile Clinic, where she supports individuals navigating treatment and recovery across care settings.

Certified Peer Support Specialists bring the power of lived experience into healthcare—building trust, reducing stigma, and strengthening patient engagement—making Chelsey’s voice especially valuable in advancing compassionate, person‑centered substance use disorder care and innovative digital tools that support recovery.
